STUDY ROOM, AND ARCHIVES ROOM ARE CLOSED.
The Colleen F. Johnson Community Room at Cook Memorial Library is available for public use for meetings and special events. Such use could include board meetings, public hearings, concerts and performances, lectures, and much more.
Up to 150 people can occupy the room. The room can be booked up to 1 year in advance. While every effort is made to accomodate use of the room, the library cannot guarantee availability for regular weekly or monthly events.
For better meeting faciliation and for the convenience of your guests, Internet/WiFi access is NOW available outside of regular library hours: Monday thru Saturday - 7:00am - 9:30pm and Sunday - 10:00am - 6:00pm.

BOOKING THE ROOM
If you are interested in booking the room, please read the Community Room Policy and then check the calendar for the availability of your desired date(s). Please note that the library typically requires a minimum of a 30-minute gap between event bookings, for overage and clean-up tasks. Once you determine the current availability of your event date and time, click this link to fill out a reservation request form. A form must be filled out for each day of any multi-day event. The library does not take any reservations for the following year until after the start of the new year.
A key is required for access to bathrooms, as well as after-hours access to the room, and has a refundable $10 deposit. The room itself has a non-refundable charge, which ranges from $25 to $150, depending on the organization and purpose of the event.
If you wish to make a long-term recurring event, such as the 1st of the month for an entire year, or longer, please fill out a single request form and contact library staff to set up the reservation correctly in the calendar.
Please note that room reservations are handled in the order received, and that the publicly posted calendar is a guideline, but may not always be updated with the newest reservation information. Feel free to contact library staff prior to making a reservation request to check the most current availability information.
The Group Study room is located on the main west wall of the library, at approximately the midpoint of the Adult Non-fiction/YA section of the library.
The room is available on a "first-come, first-served" basis and may be used for individual or group study, small meetings, and tutoring during the library's regular open hours.
The room seats up to 6 individuals. The room has wifi access as well as power outlets and a dry-erase marker board (markers and erasers are available for checkout at the main circulation desk).
The Library Archives' outer study room is located on the west wall of the library, "behind" the circulation desk, between the entry to the west foyer and the restrooms.
The room is available on a "first-come, first-served" basis and may be used for individual or group study, small meetings, and tutoring during the library's regular open hours. The room can accommodate up to 6 individuals.
Please note that due to the nature of this room as an archival materials storage and study space, access to the archival materials contained in the study room, as well as access to the library's formal Archive Room located through the study room are required. As a consequence, there is no expectation of privacy in this space. The library also has and enforces a strict "No food or beverages" policy for this space.
